African Food Security
"Reality, Challenges and Futureā
Reports of the United Nations, FAO and some international agencies highlight the gravity of the food security problem in Africa and the spread of hunger among its population, as well as malnutrition cases. These are the biggest obstacles of sustainable development and utilization of important agricultural resources.
Based on Egypt's pioneering role in this continent and its continuous sense of responsibility for Africa, as well as the research and development role of Tanta University, this Conference is organized in an attempt to perceive the current situation of food security as well as the challenges, difficulties and opportunities for achieving self-sufficiency and using available resources through cooperation and integration in the Black Continent countries.
